Another food remedy for bad breath is the consumption of fibrous foods. As a matter of fact, it’s suggested that you decrease your animal protein consumption and replace it with foods high in fiber. Fibrous foods encourage quicker digestion. Meats tend to stick around in the digestion track, ridden with bacteria. This can lead to bad breath. The fiber food remedy will help remove this meat.

Another specific food to use as a bad breath remedy is yogurt. Live-culture yogurt contains a bacteria called acidophilus. This bacteria does not cause bad breath, but actually restores intestinal bacteria balance. Some bacteria is actually helpful to your breath.
A nice supplement of vitamin C, or foods rich in vitamin C can also act as a remedy for bad breath. Vitamin C has been shown to fight against gum disease. Many times gum disease causes bad breath. This means that indirectly vitamin C prevents bad breath.
