Many years ago my sister told me she had the same problem as me. You're going to laugh but she told me to use a water-pick or any of those water sprayer things used to clean teeth. I used mouthwash all the time to try to alleviate the smell, but after a few hours it seemed to be even worse. A few months ago I started gargling with salt water every day (twice is best) and I haven't had a tonsil stone since and my bad breath is cured. I put about two teaspoons of salt in a glass of warm water and I sip, swish, and gargle until the glass is empty. This is just what worked for me - I hope it helps someone else, too. It wasnt so bad at first but last week the really bad breath started hitting me, my mucus was thick and nasty and I could smell that terrible bad breath odor on me that I had noticed from other people, yuck! I had tried mouth washed, mega brushing, gargle with hydrogen peroxide/water, salt water, there was some effect but it only lightened the odor for short while. I had also tried the thera breath products with the greatest effect, toothpaste (which I love cause it doesnt effect your taste), oral rinse, and throat spray, these products helped but again, only lightened the odor for a while. It seemed my problem is the smelly mucus is behind my nose in the throat where mouth wash and the like can never really reach. Two days ago I noticed Thera Breath had a new product, Thera Beath Nasal Spray, which described my exact problem and said it could help. I used it twice today and BAM, the bad breath oder and funky tasting mucus went away! It was like a miracle really, after trying all this other stuff I couldnt believe this could be so effective. The reason I think it is so effective is that you spray the liquid in your nose and let it drip down your sinus unto your throat, where it runs into the area you can not reach from inside your mouth while gargling etc. I had a slight burn in the effected area briefly after I used it and it seemed to work very quickly to eliminate that funky odor. I am not sure if continued use will stamp out the tonsil stones or not, I am hoping it will and expect it might since it is killing the odor so effectively. I guess I am lucky to have found a cure so quicly after the bad breath set in, it had just gotten noticable enough to make me self concious. I have associates and relatives that have had this same bad breath for years and years, I couldn't deal with that. I am going to start keeping an extra bottle of the Thera Breath Nasal Spray handy to politely give to anyone I meet with the same problem, I am sure they will appreciate it later. If you haven't had luck curing youf bad breath, and seem to have problems with tonsil stones and funky mucus in the back of your throat give this nasal spray a try, it worked like a miracle for me..... PS I dont work for, own stock in, or have any other reason to promote the Thera Breath products. In fact, I was scepticle about them myself as they are pretty pricey and had not been 100% effective for me, that is until I finally got this new nasal spray. This will help with making the stones come out completely sometimes, if not I gently scoop the visibly ones out of the flaps. If i’m having a hard time, I’ll leave them alone. In a day or two I’ll try again. I hope this helps my fellow stinky breath brothers and sisters.
